League of Legends is without doubt one of the most popular multiplayer session-based games around. This game took the world by storm almost as soon as it was released and provides a combination of strategy and fantasy that many gamers seem to love. Does League of Legends really deserve all its fame and glory? Read on to find out.

The main concept of the game is rather simple and is close to other successful games that have been around for decades. Players join forces with a team of allies and defeat their foes in special battle arenas. There are lots of puzzles to solve along the way that put your brains to the test, while all of the scenes are created using stunning graphics to really help players feel like they are exploring their own fantasy land.

One of the things about League of Legends that players love is that their avatar is fully customisable. You can have a lot of fun creating an avatar that resembles your fairly closely if you wish, or create a creature that really walks on the wild side. Your avatar becomes more powerful as you advance through the game and you can also equip the avatar with certain weapons, shields and other items to help them pack more of a punch.

Summoners’s Rift is the default game mode and two teams of five players each have to battle against each other and try to destroy the other team’s nexus. Your character starts the game at level 1, which is nowhere near powerful enough to complete the quest for victory. In order to level up, you must defeat minions and gain gold and experience.

Once you have collected a pile of gold, it is time to go to the shop. Fortunately, the shop keeper never asks awkward questions like where you got the gold and why it might have a spot or two of blood on it. you can purchase swords, rods and much more to give your character extra power.

Once you and your group are ready to go into battle, the game takes on a more savage tone. The game can be rather brutal and there will be more than a little bloodshed on the field before the battle draws to a close. Players must use all the skills and weapons at their disposal to make sure they don’t become a corpse.

One of the main aspects of League of Legends is that team members can play and connect with each other from all over the world. This allows members of the online gaming community to join forces and make friends even if they are on other sides of the globe. However, there is no voice chat function in the game, and the only way that players can talk to each other is by using the dialogue boxes at the bottom of the screen, which can be rather slow and feel impersonal.

It is clear to see why League of Legends is so popular. The game takes themes from hit board games such as Dungeons and Dragons and brings them onto an international playing field complete with cool graphics and lots of action. For the first time, players have the chance to actually walk through the fantasy world rather than simply imagining it and face monsters and other mythic creators face to face.
